    Chinese Language Translator
    Psyonix is looking for a full-time Chinese Language Translator to join our localization team in San Diego, CA. As our Chinese Language Translator, you will be tasked with translating a variety of internal / external documents, as well as marketing, promotional, and in-game materials that simultaneously account for linguistic or cultural requirements without sacrificing original intent.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Translating between English and Chinese as instructed with no additions or omissions
    • Testing, Proofreading, Rewriting, and Editing translated documents
    • Collaborating with internal development and production teams to ensure cohesion and accuracy across all implementations
    • Delivering all tasks and assignments on time
    • Other duties as assigned

    Ideal Candidate Must Have:

    • An outstanding, fluent understanding of Simplified Chinese grammar, style, and punctuation
    • An understanding of ethical and cultural issues and sensitivities for both the Chinese and English languages
    • Strong written and verbal English-language communication skills with an attention to detail
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Proficiency with the Google Apps Suite
    • Strong self-motivation and work ethic
    • A team-focused outlook
    • A willingness to be "on-call" outside of business hours

    Pluses:

    • Previous experience working as a video game or tech-field translator
    • An ability to read, write, and understand Traditional Chinese
    • An understanding of the Cantonese dialect at any level
    • A passion for gaming
    • A knowledge of Rocket League and its community
