Hi, my name is Daniel and I am the founder of an indie games studio called Ready Penguin Go! Come December 2020, I will officially start on my first project as a company. I have made games previously, however, that was all University work. December is when I gain access to the studio provided to me by the University I graduated from. There is room for 4 people with PC's that are all fully licensed with the necessary software needed to make a game. Additionally, the University will provide support to us for 12 months, potentially more if our game needs more time and looks promising. As for me, I am a games designer and aspiring games director. I love RPGs in all forms, most notably games with systems upon systems, for example; Disgaea. What am I looking for? I am looking for a competent 3D artist and an animator (better if you can do both) I can model to a very basic standard and will be doing so, for the white boxing of the world. What is the game? The game will be a 3D sidescrolling RPG. Some of the mechanics that will be included but not limited to are; Evolving weapons - Feed materials to your weapon, once they reach certain thresholds they can be evolved into a number of different ones, which subsequently have their own choices should those be met later. Expandable village - Part of the story is that your village is destroyed revealing a long lost labyrinth. It is your job to make the village prosper once more, expanding as the story progresses. Labyrinth - Having revealed the labyrinth, naturally the protagonist wants to explore it. There will be obstacles preventing you from exploring too quickly, however, and these can be overcome by expanding the village. Should you apply? Are you an RPG fan? Do you have enough time to commit to a year-long project with no guarantee of a return in investment? Are you situated in the UK, specifically the North-East of England? (Less important, but great if you are) Do you want to be part of an up and coming company? If you answered yes to some or better yet all of these questions, then we want you! Edit: I should have said this from the start but I'll say it now. Remote is an option and as of right now it is encouraged! That means you can be anywhere in the world, you don't have to be from England to apply (it would just be nice to meet up for a beer, or just hanging out in the studio)
