    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Job Title: 3D Artist

    Job type: 1-year job remote contract with the possibility to extend it indefinitely

    Reporting To: Art Director and Head of Product

    Location: Remote


    Your Mission

    · Optimize visual aspects of environments and characters.

    · Unreal asset management and bug fixing

    · Sculpts, high-poly, low-poly, High-poly to low-poly bakes

    · Optimize textures and geometry; create LODs

    · Create modular kits

    · Material assignment and texture creation

    · Maintain performance requirements for levels (memory, framerate, draw calls, instances)

    · Consider technical constraints of the 3D app

    · Active participation to team meetings and fluid communication

    · Respect deadlines defined with the production team

    · Paint textures to create believable set pieces according to the style/period of the game

    · Create set pieces, props, items, and other from scratch to production quality

    · Other duties may be assigned

    · The application has a large number of pre-made assets and part of the job will be to organize them and maintain a database and perform cleaning and maintenance.



    Job Profile

    Minimum Requirements:

    · Minimum 3 years of industry experience with Unreal as 3D artist or similar position

    · Understanding of 3D real-time limitations and Unreal topology, material, and lighting needs

    · Maya or 3ds Max knowledge

    · Portfolio demonstrating exceptional 3D art skills

    · Good knowledge of textures creation packages such as Substance Designer and Substance Painter

    · Good traditional art foundation

    · Good knowledge of lighting in Unreal

    · Fluent in English - written and spoken

    Other Skills:

    · Ability to work well in a fluid, changing environment as creative challenges evolve

    · A passion for video games and a desire to be part of the creative process involved in developing video games

    · Sense of autonomy, responsibility, and attention to detail

    · Demonstrated ability to manage production time and meet deadlines

    · Good ability to communicate effectively and professionally

    · Positive attitude and ability to give and receive constructive feedback


    Extra Points:

    · Good understanding of clothes creation software such as Marvelous Designer

    · A strong portfolio demonstrating your in-game character artwork has very high standards

    · Experience with blendshape creation workflows

    · Zbrush
