I need music for an upcoming retro racing game. The game is inspired by the SEGA Outrun of 1986. Here's what I'd like ideally.

    - Music loop.
    - Catchy and memorable.
    - Sounds retro gaming in tonality, but good quality.
    - Feels the 80s.
    - Dynamic of a racing game. The Outrun music is a good reference.

I have an indie budget. Therefore, I hesitate between buying stock music and hiring a composer to create something unique. I'm open to both deals depending on the price.

I want to get propositions from musicians and see what direction I can take depending on the propositions. My two opinions right now are:

    - If you created stock music that you sell, PM me.
    - If you can create something unique at an indie price, PM me.

The forums weren't letting my PM go through for some reason; dropped you an E-mail on the address listed on your blog instead. :)

    Hi there,
I'm an independent audio developer. Some examples of my work that may fit your brief posted below ('Final Boss' probably hits the retro aesthetic most):
    If you're interested please reply!

    Cheers, Chris

This could be the ticket. I write music I like and only after a mate said this track'd be wicked on a game, did I start to think about it.
It's over 5 minutes long, so the intro and the outro can be cross-faded together and looped. When you think about it, it's music inspired by computers, made on a computer. I identify this track with racing games, and the action games.

Hi! I'm a finnish musician of many genres. You can listen to my stuff linked below, however as I am fluent in many genres, you can only hear my skill, not really what I can offer you. Also, I am currently working on an aggressive 80s style demo track that I hope would fit your game. My prices are 25€ for a non-exclusive track, 50€ for an exclusive track and 150€ for an exclusive track and no need to credit me (and 5% of the revenue) but we can cut you a better deal as I 100% support indie devs.

Here's the commissions I've made in the past:

And here's the original tracks I've made in the past:
    "

I will PM you the demo for your specific project after it's finished.

Yo I could make something right up that alley. I make beats and play keys and a racing game with an 80s feels real interesting. Here's some of my work https://soundcloud.com/happy_feet-2/
