It's been a while since this thread was updated, and a it since the original author has logged in, but I've got a couple relevant links that may be of use to folks. The first two are Kickstarter post-mortems. The first is for Nevermind, and the other is for Orion Trail: http://cliqist.com/2016/01/13/charting-stars-shortish-history-orion-trail/ http://cliqist.com/2015/10/29/swamps-deserts-neverminds-journey-told-crowdfunding-process/ The final link is the 'for developers' tag on the website I run, Cliqist. Basically they're articles on a variety of Kickstarter related subjects that could be relevant to folks considering launching a campaign. They include monthly breakdowns of successful and unsuccessful campaigns, analysis of failed campaigns, and more. http://cliqist.com/tag/for-developers/ Sorry if this seems a bit too advertisy. Not jumping in to just try and boost traffic, there's some content that I feel could be very helpful.
Really useful information thank you very much. I am just starting out down the Kickstarter route but in the very early stages of game development. This is something me and my wife have been desperate to achieve for years. Would really like all your opinions on the concept and if your feeling generous give it a share on social networks (possibly a bit cheeky ;-) )
Great list! I'm preparing my own Kickstarter at the moment and hope it will join your list one day! ^^
Im slightly dissapointed in KickStarter, I can donate from my country but, I cant start my own Kickstarter
Thank you so much for the insight! Perhaps a bit too late for me since I have launched my own campaign some time ago (it's still running, though). Gonna improve it by these awesome tips!
