    Hello guys! How are you?

    I bring here my new project of a minimalist 2D puzzle. The game contains some elements of mathematical calculations and a bit of strategy in which you should position your pieces on the board and combine them until there is no piece left.

    [IMG]

    How to play

    Each level the player starts with some numbered pieces of a certain color, being blue, red, green or yellow, from 1 to 9.

    [IMG]

    The player must distribute all of them on the board before starting by combining other pieces. When finished, press the Start button to solve the puzzle.

    To distribute the pieces click and drag them to an empty tile.

    [IMG]

    Basic moves

    To move a piece the player must select it and click on the square with the corresponding color to slide in the desired direction. Remember that each piece can only be moved once.

    [IMG]

    To deselect, use the right click or click on any corner of the screen.

    Combining

    To combine a piece, it must be within movement range of the selected piece. When combining it can automatically active a skill with / without effect, which will be indicated with a balloon above the piece.

    [IMG]

    Skills

    [IMG] Party: When combining pieces with same color, theirs values will be added.

    [IMG]

    [IMG] Battle: If a piece is combined with a different color, value between them is subtracted, the piece with highest value prevails.

    [IMG]

    Effects

    Effects are like buffs or nerfs that gain when combining, depending on the situation different effects are applied.

    [IMG] Impulse: When a piece is combined, it can be moved again.

    [IMG]

    [IMG] Petrify: Combining with a gray piece, it can not be moved again regardless of the value or order.

    [IMG]

    System requirements: Windows, Mac, Linux. Is a minimal 2D game so i think any kind of hardware can run without worries.

    Recent fixes:
    • Improved drag and drop system;
    • Fixed bug when combining piece with differents colors that sometimes not give extra movement;
    • Now players can make theirs movements by clicking on yellow square;
    • Added a little tutorial in-game on the first puzzle;
    • Reformed some puzzles to adapt the new system and tutorial;
    • Added more 4 puzzles;
    Any feedback, suggestions or criticism will always be welcome. Thanks for you attention!

    It looks like it might have potential. But I found it somewhat confusing. I am not sure whether it is a single player puzzle or a prototype for a two player game which is still missing an AI opponent. It says "puzzle" in the description, but attacking another piece is called "battle" and I can only deploy the blue pieces, so maybe red is the opponent...?
    I didn't quite get the special effects either or why I would need them. I just dragged the pieces together more or less randomly which seemed to work and continue to the next level whichever way I did it.
    Still, many good games have been made on the formula of moving pieces around according to special rules, which combine in complex ways.

    The game was made with focus on solve puzzles, your objective is clear the board by combining all the pieces to zero value, so you have control on all pieces and don't have AI. "Battle" only is activated when you combine two pieces with different colors (subtracting theirs values), also "Party" for pieces with same color (adding values). Depending on the stage you can deploy pieces with different colors and values. So the game don't have really a opponent.

    Solving a puzzle example:

    Prototype gameplay.(Previous version)

    Special effects is activated automatically when combining, depending of color, differents effects are applied for example: combining any piece with gray color results in petrify effect which means that you can't move the same piece.You can see what effects are activated by checking the balloon that appears on above of the piece

    Actually some stages have certain bugs, one them is you can go to next stage when the board have only one gray or red piece remain. The game don't have clear explanations or tutorial in certain points, sorry about that, for sure i will fix these problems and explain better.

    Thank you!
