I've uploaded version with fixed bugs and changed novice and master AI.
Novice now less difficult, master - more difficult.
Works fine on Firefox, but loading takes a long time. Also interface is a little confusing.
Recently I've ended work above my new game: Reversi Deluxe.
It's a remake of classic boardgame with multiple game modes.
I believe no problem with speed must be on your PC, but game uses only software rendering, so speed doesn't depend on 3D or 2D acceleration.

Game timer stops when items are swapping. But I'll consider speed of this animation.
Do you mean one ceratin type of animation or all ingame animations?

I develop on much low performance PC, so can't reproduce it, but I've made changes, and hope bug is fixed. Installation file updated.
