Matthew Plaza

Matthew Plaza is a freelance composer who has had extensive classically-based training. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied for four years under the mentorship of composer Dr. David Conte. Plaza's compositional experience spans a wide range, from solo instrumental and vocal music, to orchestral and choral music. His music also ranges stylistically and encompasses both acoustic and electronic genres. Additionally, his experience includes but isn't limited to: digital sound production, concert production, rehearsing, conducting, arranging, score preparation, piano performance, vocal performance, and programmatic writing.


As an upcoming freelance professional, Matthew Plaza is interested in creating soundtracks for digital and visual media, such as video games, films, video, and other media projects. He also continues to compose and create music, both acoustic and electronic, for his own enjoyment and artistic fulfillment.


More personally, he has long enjoyed travel/architectural/landscape photography and plans to publish or sell his work.
